Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
IESOL Consulting Pty Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides SAP consulting and advisory services. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information, and clarifies what happens to client business data in the course of our engagements. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to visitors to our website, prospective and existing clients, and business partners. It covers information collected through our website, email, phone, and during the delivery of consulting services.
3. A Note on Client Business Data
As an SAP consulting firm, our engagements may involve access to a client’s SAP systems, configurations, or business data during a project.
We do not retain, copy, or store client business or system data beyond the duration and purpose of the engagement. Any access we require is scoped to the specific consulting task, governed by the terms of the relevant client agreement or statement of work, and is removed from our systems on completion of the engagement (or sooner, per the client’s instruction).
This Policy deals separately with the much narrower set of personal information we collect about individuals we deal with directly (contacts, enquirers, client staff we correspond with) covered below.
4. Personal Information We Collect
- Name, email address, phone number, and job title
- Company name and details of the enquiry or project
- Correspondence you send us (email, contact forms, calls)
We do not collect sensitive information unless it’s volunteered and directly relevant to an engagement, and we do not seek personal information from individuals under 18.
5. Website Usage Data
Our website may automatically collect basic technical information (IP address, browser type, device, pages visited) through standard analytics tools, to help us understand site usage and fix issues. This is not linked to an identifiable individual unless you’ve separately given us your contact details.
Our website may use cookies for core functionality and analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some site features may not work as intended if you do.
6. How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to enquiries and communicate with you
- Prepare proposals and deliver consulting services
- Maintain basic business records (e.g. invoicing, correspondence)
- Meet legal or regulatory obligations
We do not use personal information for unrelated marketing without your consent, and we never sell or trade it.
7. Disclosure
We may share personal information with service providers who support our operations (e.g. email hosting, accounting software), where required by law, or with your consent. We do not disclose client business or SAP system data to any third party outside the scope of the relevant engagement.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures (access controls, secure systems) to protect personal information and any client data we temporarily hold during an engagement. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we aim to minimise risk by not retaining data beyond what’s needed.
9. Retention
- Personal information (enquiries, contacts): kept only as long as needed for the relevant business or legal purpose, then deleted or de-identified.
- Client business/SAP data: not retained after the engagement concludes, as outlined in Section 2.
10. Your Rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it, subject to any legal obligations we may have to keep certain records. Contact us using the details below.
11. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to external websites for your convenience. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites, and we encourage you to review their policies before providing any personal information.
12. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed at individuals under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.
13. Updates to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, will always be published on this page.
